HOT ! 1960s Jerry Edouard for Saks Fifth Avenue Flower Power Inlay Go-Go Boots

A truly spectacular and exceptionally rare pair of late-1960s designer go-go boots, attributed to Jerry Edouard, created exclusively for Saks Fifth Avenue.

These were sourced and sold as Jerry Edouard boots, and extensive research fully supports that attribution: the design, construction and signature psychedelic floral appliqué match documented Edouard models from the late 1960s. During this period, he produced for high-end department stores such as Saks, and therefore pieces were labeled solely with the retailer’s branding — not with an additional maker’s stamp. The “Made in Greece” marking also aligns with the known ateliers he collaborated with.

The lipstick-red nappa leather is soft and vibrant, the appliqué immaculate, and the silhouette blends mod go-go fashion with a Western twist. Comes with the original Saks Fifth Avenue box, an extremely rare survival.

PLEASE NOTE: The outer condition of these boots is perfect and they appear barely worn. The leather is soft and supple and the colours are vibrant with hardly any wear to the leather except for a distinct softening of the leather. There is normal wear to the leather soles. HOWEVER, the lining seems to be disintegrating due to age. There is a soft powder which is apparent to the touch from the lining of the shaft of the boots, however the footbed does also leave distinct orange markings on socks / hosiery after wear. Because of this, I have dramatically reduced the price. These boots really are a collectable masterpiece, which would be a shame to go to waste because of this, but buyer must be aware of this issue before buying.
