This genuine silver US coin was designed by chief engraver of the US Mint Christian Gobrecht and was based on a sketch from artist Thomas Scully. During the 52 years of production, the Seated Liberty Half went through several design changes including adding the motto \"In God We Trust.\" The coin is secure in a screw top bezel. The screw top allows the coin to be removed and replaced safely and at any time by a professional jeweler.
