Not only does this bracelet display a gorgeous range of earthy browns and black, but the palo santo beads smell heavenly - a wonderfully woody scent with a hint of citrus. 

Two little red glass rondelles have been added for a subtle pop of color!

These palo santo wood beads come from the Bursera graveolens tree, which grows in the dry tropical forests of South America - primarily Ecuador, Peru and Brazil. 

The wood is aromatic because the tree produces a fragrant resin. 

The process of curing this wood is incredibly time consuming - requiring many years - which makes palo santo very special! You can read more about this below.

Along with the wood beads are three Tibetan SZI round beads, bracketed by genuine black shungite rondelles. 

The bracelet is strung on flexible multi-strand jewelry wire for excellent strength and durability, closing with a brass clasp.

What are DZI Beads?

Tibetan DZI beads have a long history steeped in tradition, but their origin is controversial as their story has been passed down by oral tradition.

The first DZI are believed to have appeared between 2000 and 1000 BC, discovered by Tibetan soldiers.

The Tibetan word DZI translates to \"shine, brightness, clearness, splendor.\"

Tibetan and other Central Asian cultures believe DZI beads can bring protection, good luck, and positive spiritual experiences.

Exactly how the ancient DZI beads were made or formed is a matter of much controversy, but modern technology creates them using various heat and chemical processes to alter the surface of the agate and produce the various patterns and textures.
