1940s HandDyed with tea Satin Slip Dress 

This exquisite vintage silk slip dress features a delicate lace bodice, softly structured bust panels, and a fluid bias-cut skirt that drapes beautifully on the body. Originally a brighter pink, this piece was carefully hand-dyed with tea to achieve its current romantic blush-peach tone, giving it a timeless, softly aged patina.

A vintage satin ribbon sash has been added by hand and ties at the waist, allowing for adjustable styling and a flattering silhouette. The fine lace detailing and silk sheen reflect classic lingerie craftsmanship from the early-to-mid 20th century.

Perfect as a luxury nightgown, boudoir piece, or styled as a modern slip dress for day or evening wear.

Good vintage condition.

This piece features natural tonal variations and soft shading created during the hand tea-dyeing process. These subtle shifts in color are part of the organic, artisanal finish and make each garment truly one of a kind. Please review photos for the unique character of the dye work.

I sell Vintage and Antique Clothing and I would say anything before 30s should be treated with care and worn with care. Mostly these items will be fragile especially 20s silk or Edwardian very fine Muslin.  Some can not handle stress and will tear easily. Should be bought a size bigger where possible or should be a little loose on.
