HOT ! Lot 603 Sweatshirt Techi Tree Dyed Brown

Taiga Takahashi’s signature cropped sweatshirt cut from a pleasingly dry loopback cotton jersey fleece rendered in a naturally dyed rich orange brown using Techi (Yeddo Hawthorn) bark. Knit on a hanging, circular knitting machine in Wakayama, the use of American cotton lends a rich texture that harkens to an older period of garment manufacturing. Simple construction informed by early 20th century designs with a mirrored front and back, inlaid v-panels at the neck, and extended ribbing complement the shrunken silhouette, evoking vintage athletica while maintaining a sense of elegance. Completed with cover stitched reinforcement throughout for a long lasting finish and subtle contrast stitching throughout.
