The Rose with Leaves Cuff is our love letter to the Grateful Dead and the enduring symbolism of the Garden of Roses. Sculptural roses wrap around the wrist while intertwined leaf vines weave through the design like a living trellis. The openwork allows glimpses of skin beneath, creating depth, movement, and an organic connection between metal and body.

This piece is deeply rooted in the music and culture that shaped its inspiration. Back in the late 80s, my earliest days of making jewelry began in the parking lots outside of Grateful Dead shows. I was trading and selling handmade pieces on the lot, surrounded by music, art, freedom, and community. Those experiences became the foundation of everything I create today, and this cuff carries that history forward.

The roses and vines feel grown rather than made, a quiet nod to the Grateful Dead’s iconic rose imagery and the magic that has always surrounded the band and its extended family. It is a piece about transformation, resilience, and beauty that continues to bloom over time.
