This Tri-Hone Sharpening Kit includes Soft Arkansas (medium), Hard Arkansas (fine), Black Arkansas (ultra fine), and a 1 ounce bottle of honing oil. The Soft Arkansas is a coarse stone as well but is slightly less coarse than the silicon carbide. Using a coarse stone is the fastest way to get a good shape on an edge. The Hard Arkansas and Black Arkansas are finer stones which are used to refine the edge, improving the quality of the cut it delivers. The Case honing oil is designed for use with sharpening stones while sharpening. Only a very little dab is needed when sharpening so the oil will last you a while. This sharpening kit comes shrink wrapped. Proudly made in the USA.
