Hand woven by indigenous Embera Chami artisans, each one-of-a-kind necklace represents a piece of Colombian culture, fusing modern designs with ancient tribal craftsmanship.
The Embera Chami tribe are known for their intricate and colorful bead work . They believe women bear the weight of the world on their shoulders. The necklaces are called Okama which means ‘path around the neck’ and the designs tell of a women’s history and role in the community.
Each necklace features beautiful bead detailing in a unique one-of-a-kind pattern.
