Vintage Fox Tile Necklace

We love foxes! So we decided to create another design as part of a new collection of tile necklaces and bracelets, inspired by egyptian mid century panel bracelets. This delicate vinatge style fox necklace is handmade by us, in our UK studio, from recycled precious metals. It has a flat, brushed back, perfect for a personalised engraving.

In the UK, foxes are both beloved and maligned, embodying the complex relationship between humans and wildlife. Red foxes are iconic creatures, their fiery coats and keen intelligence symbolizing the untamed beauty of Britain’s countryside and urban landscapes. However, they face numerous struggles, from habitat loss due to urban sprawl to the dangers of traffic and misconceptions about their behavior. Historically hunted and still subject to culling in some areas, foxes are often scapegoated for raiding bins or predating on small livestock, despite their vital role in ecosystems as scavengers and controllers of rodent populations. These beautiful animals deserve protection, not persecution.

In many cultures, they are symbolic of intelligence and resourcefulness. Foxes also embody adaptability. After all, they thrive in bustling cities just as easily as in wild forests. They remind us to stay nimble and think on our feet when life throws us a curveball. And if nothing else, it’s an adorable accessory that might make its wearer smile everytime they glance in the mirror.
