The Cool Shield Heat Bond Iron melts heat bond tape quickly and easily while maintaining the cooler top shield temperature. Even on the highest setting of 425° the 482G reaches a maximum heat shield temperature of only 256°.
- Double heat shield stops deforming of carpet backing and yarn
- Snake shaped heating element provides even heat
- No stick base for fast, easy clean-up
- Grooved bottom for stronger carpet seams
- Grooved back leaves glue on the tape when taking out by the wall
- 3-way cord guide keeps the 9-1/2 ft. cord out of the way
