These fire opal gemstones, carved in the shape of leaves, were an unexpected find last trip and one that I could not resist. I adore the range of colours they exhibit, showcased perfectly in the gold setting of the necklace design.
Fire Opal is a variety of opal that has a bright yellow, bright orange or bright red background colour.
Materials: the necklace is made of gold plated sterling silver and carved fire opal gemstones.
Details: the necklace is 16\" long with a further 2\" of extension chain. The largest leaf is approximately 10 x 25 mm and the smallest 10 x 15 mm.
