HOT ! The Bentwoods Bistro Pair of Chairs

Pair of stunning Antique Thonet Bentwood Chairs  as marked on the underside. These are a design classic and instantly recognisable featuring the iconic hooped back and circular seat created by steaming wood into a round shape, hence the name bentwood.

They are lovely examples with authentic patina and with beautifully designed embossed seats, the build up of wear gives these chairs character which is as it should be with a piece of furniture possibly dating from the Victorian era onwards.

The condition is good, please note this style of chair is the bistro size version so lightweight as intended but a quality construction. There are signs of wear and age consumerate with age and not to be cliche, but this genuinely does add to the vintage appeal :-) The seats for example have a lovely authentic faded look to the embossed design.

To restore, I have polished each chair to remove any dirt and restore the patina nicely.

Would work so nicely as cafe chairs, a stylish desk chair or as part of a mix and match kitchen dining set really giving that cottage core look and lovely to find a pair together.
