A magnificent 19th-century English center table, richly hand-carved in solid wood and adorned with 22-karat water gilding. The table rests on four bold dolphin-form supports, masterfully sculpted with scrolling acanthus details and gilt embellishments, converging at a central pedestal with elaborate carved ornamentation.
The circular top is fitted with a striking Michelangelo marble surface, characterized by its deep black-gray tone veined with gold, offering a luxurious contrast to the luminous gilt base. This exceptional craftsmanship reflects the Regency to early Victorian period, combining classical motifs with the grandeur and refinement of the English decorative arts tradition.
