Designed by Spanish architect and designer Patricia Urquiola, the Alder Stool embodies Mater\'s commitment to sustainability. Through extensive testing and development, Mater has successfully incorporated biodegradable plastic into their technology, enabling the material to decompose naturally when the product is no longer required. Crafted from their innovative biodegradable Matek material, derived from waste products, these pieces integrate seamlessly into nature.Crafted from biodegradable plastic mixed with either coffee shell waste from BKI\'s coffee roasting process or wood waste, the collection features organic shapes and a natural colour palette in both its design and materials. Each piece boasts unique patterns created by the form-pressed moulding technique. The recycled steel inner frame ensures stability and durability. The wide seat and flat surface make it versatile enough to be used as a bedside table.The Alder collection can be used indoors, and outdoors in sheltered areas out of direct sunlight. It is recommended that Alder be stored in a warm and dry place over Winter months, due to its biodegradable construction. The Collection includes a Stool, Lounge Table and Side Table.
