HOT ! Large and gorgeous 1800\'s (Philo Penfield Steward pattern) antique #10 Skillet. Very cool

We came across this skillet from a collection from a long time collector.  We were able to get a dozen pieces or so, and have begun listing them for your consideration. This one is an unmarked version of the very popular Philo Penfield Stewart patterns, that were widely lauded designer from the mid 1880s. As we learned more from general consensus, it seems that the \"PPS\" pattern was often copied by mid 1800 American foundries because of its superior balance, handling and overall attractiveness. This is one that you\'ll LOVE to have!

This one has a smooth clean cooking surface, thick but not heavy to handle at all and balanced exceptionally well. Its so hard to let go of these pieces when you get a chance to use them and on the stove it performs as good if not better than the popular brand names. We see why these were so copied and popular. It does not sit flat so for use, it\'s best used with gas or electric coil. DISCLAIMER: We have prepared this piece to be ready to use or displayed in a collection.
