Woven in Western Turkey circa 1920, this Turkish rug comes with great history and culture, speaking volumes about its people and a period of time with the beautiful and tribal Soumak design that it breaths. An old beauty with a mauve pink ground, it has a floppy handle as this rug is 100% wool on pile and foundation. 

It\'ll be a great piece for someone who loves the time worn character. This rug was given some TLC to keep it going for decades to come. The side edges that were tattered were taken in and hand bound with a fresh new binding. It is a fun and tribal old piece, which will anchor a space with its great age and character.
