From the personal collection of Maripol, this prototype sneaker from the 2013 Reebok x Keith Haring collaboration is a bold fusion of streetwear and street art, bringing Haring’s most iconic figure, the Radiant Baby, into three-dimensional form. Executed in a striking blue, pink, and black palette, the shoe serves as both wearable statement and sculptural homage.
Keith Haring and Maripol moved through the same electric circuits of 1980s downtown New York where art, fashion, and music collided nightly: Club 57, the Mudd Club, the Factory, the Fun Gallery. While Haring scrawled the subways and danced at Palladium, Maripol documented it all in the frame and behind the lens. Their relationship was one of mutual admiration and creative exchange.
Released as part of a limited-edition series celebrating Haring’s enduring legacy, the design translates his high-energy linework and rebellious optimism into performance design. The Radiant Baby motif, originally drawn in chalk on New York subway walls, becomes a symbol of movement, innocence, and cultural charge—reimagined here for the sneaker generation.
This particular pair is a prototype edition, making it even more elusive than the already-limited production run. An object that sits at the intersection of 1980s art and 2010s sneaker culture - a visual legacy in motion.
