This rare garden armchair, dating from the 1920s or 1930s, is a striking illustration of the transition between Art Nouveau and Art Deco. The scrolling wrought iron arms echo the organic curves characteristic of Art Nouveau, while the fan-shaped slatted back introduces the streamlined geometry of the emerging Art Deco style. The result is a beautifully balanced fusion that captures the essence of both artistic movements.
