[BODE] A menswear brand by Emily Adams Bode, a female designer based in Manhattan, New York. BODE transforms a wide variety of vintage and unique textiles into classic, eye-catching workwear silhouettes. With a dual degree in Philosophy and Menswear Design, Emily founded her brand in 2016 and within a year became the first female menswear designer to show a collection at New York Fashion Week Men\'s. During her time at university, Emily honed her skills in locating and processing rare and historic fabrics from around the world, eventually moving into tailoring. Her collections are made with love and craftsmanship using a variety of fabrics, including tablecloths made over 100 years ago, burlap sacks, Victorian-style bedsheets, and antique quilts. Emily\'s love of historic patterns and fabrics was cultivated during childhood vacations she spent in Massachusetts and Atlanta.
