Collector’s Note

Indigo Field is a hand knotted wool runner woven in a palette of deep indigo, slate grey, and soft ivory. Made using traditional Oushak weaving techniques, it features loosely spun wool and an open knot structure that give the rug a supple feel and a slightly variegated surface texture. The gentle wash applied after weaving softens the contrasts, allowing the blues to settle into a rich, atmospheric tone.

The design draws from the Oushak floral tradition, where large-scale palmettes and stylized blossoms are arranged along a central axis. This layout, characteristic of Western Anatolia, favors spacious composition and harmonious color over rigid symmetry.

This runner works particularly well in hallways, entryways, or beside a bed, anchoring the space with its cool, moody palette. It pairs naturally with stone, dark woods, and neutral textiles, offering depth without overwhelming the room.
