HOT ! Khatima & Rokia\'s Midnight Blue Flatweave x Zanafi

This rug was designed by neighbors Khatima and Rokia and will be handwoven by the artisans of Anzal, the same women’s weaving association they are part of.

The rug features a Zanafi border, known for its tightly pressed, striped pattern and reversible design, offering two distinct looks. The center combines Flatweave and embroidery, with symbolic Amazigh motifs that represent protection, strength, and continuity—each one hand-stitched and rooted in generations of cultural tradition.

The rug will be woven from 100% “live” Moroccan wool, carded, brushed, and spun entirely by hand. The blue center is dyed using a batch-dyeing technique developed by our third-generation dyer, who works with all-natural spices and plants to create a rich, mottled finish—ensuring that no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
