Some of you may be familiar with what a Wabash Stripe is, and some may not. But if you\'ve been with us for a while, you\'ve definitely come across the technique it uses.
The Wabash Stripe is a discharge print, most often found on Indigo-dyed fabrics, dating back to as early as the 1850s from Stifel, one of the most renown names in historic workwear garments.
We\'re extremely excited about our iteration. We developed this discharge-printed moleskin, but it\'s not like our usual moleskin. This particular fabric is more akin to the old French workwear versions of moleskin - harder wearing, no real nap on the fabric, and still needs to be broken in a bit. It\'s also a much narrower, finer dotted-stripe printed than what you would normally seen on a Wabash stripe. This gives it more of a salt-and-pepper look at first glance.
This was the first fabric we used on this wider straight leg, but this pattern can now be found across many different fabrics including our deck cloth and bedford cord.
