The composition of this unique piece consists of 60% of the best pure Chinese silk, with 40% handspun afghan wool and handspun Himalayan allo fibers which gives a beautiful sheen and cushy feel underfoot

The colors in this piece are subtle clay- green-gray, stone, cream, and taupe. All the three fibers are interwoven together which gives varied interest and texture

The stonewashing has been a decades long process developed by us at our restoration plant in Oushak Turkey. This stonewashed process gives a subtle sheen to the silk yet gives the appearance and texture and feel of an antique rug. It has been finished by hand washing and blocking
