Detailed information on Seafoam Fade

Hand-knotted in fine wool and silk, Seafoam Fade is an overdyed rug characterized by its soft turquoise base and subtle tonal shifts of green and lavender. When you see it in person, the surface feels almost liquid: calm and even, with a depth that’s only visible up close. The overdyed technique, originally developed in Istanbul to revive vintage Persian carpets, creates a luminous, almost watercolor effect with each piece uniquely layered through successive washes of dye. This one’s 9/10 knot count and compact 6x9 scale make it ideal for adding quiet color and texture to living spaces, studies, or bedrooms.

Design note: Inspired by the overdyed revival rugs of modern Istanbul workshops, where traditional Persian bases are reimagined in saturated, contemporary palettes.
