Detailed information on 7\' x 13\' MCM Scandinavian Style Purple + Brown Tweed Vintage Turkish Kilim

This gorgeous kilim from Black Sea region of Turkey is made with pure natural goat hair.
This is a Chadur made from tent covers by nomadic tribes in the mountains of Tarsus.

This one is 2 very different pieces sewn together making one large area rug. One piece has cream and brown goat hair/wool with white cotton woven through it. The other piece has violet, sage, brown and cream tweed with braided ends on both borders. Lots of character in this piece..

Natural goat hair comes in various shades and intensities of brown and cream resulting in a gorgeous brown “tweed”.

Circa 1970’s

Actual size is 6’8” x 13’3”

It has been professionally washed and restored.
