These exceptionally rare and stunning chaise lounges were originally designed by Lucio Costa for the Friburgo Hotel in Rio de Janeiro state, located three hours away from the city of Rio de Janeiro. Lucio Costa, renowned as the urban planner behind Brasília (Brazil\'s new capital inaugurated in 1960), collaborated with architect Oscar Niemeyer and landscaper Burle Marx. Costa\'s foray into furniture design was limited, making this set particularly special and unique.

The wood of these chaise lounges has been meticulously restored and is in excellent condition, showcasing its original beauty. They are now upholstered in new outdoor fabric, enhancing their durability and suitability for contemporary use while preserving their historical significance.
