HOT ! Antique Bullseye Agate Locket

This antique bullseye agate locket is crafted in 18k yellow gold and weighs a substantial 20.4 grams. Matte and softly bloomed to a rich, almost 22k finish, the gold has a deep warmth that enhances the dramatic presence of the agate cabochons set throughout.

The locket is centered with a large bullseye agate cabochon measuring 22.1 × 29.6 mm, surrounded by seven additional cabochons along the edge, each measuring approximately 8.6 × 11.75 mm. A further round cabochon, measuring 6.5 mm, is set into the bail, completing the composition. The distinctive bullseye agate is named for its bright white concentric banding, which contrasts strikingly against the dark ground of the stone.

Measuring 16.7 mm in thickness, the locket has a boldly dimensional, almost sculptural quality. The reverse houses an oval locket panel measuring 22 × 27 mm, containing a deep blue paper or fabric insert. Condition is very good overall, with only minor marks visible on the back panel. A remarkable Victorian locket defined by scale, material richness, and unapologetic presence.
