Large graduated sterling silver Navajo Pearl necklace handcrafted in traditional Southwestern style.
Also known as a Desert Pearl necklace, these “pearls” are individually formed sterling silver beads created by soldering two domed halves together — a labor-intensive, bench-made process often leaving subtle solder marks as a sign of authenticity. Each bead is hand-finished and hand-strung by Native American artisans.
This graduated strand transitions from smaller beads at the ends to larger, more substantial beads at the center, creating a bold and balanced silhouette. The silver may feature a brushed or oxidized finish, giving it a soft satin glow or natural dark patina.
Large-scale graduated strands are prized as statement pieces and are traditionally worn alone, layered with turquoise pendants, or paired with a squash blossom necklace.
A classic and versatile example of sterling silver Navajo pearl craftsmanship.
