HOT ! Wren Amethyst Necklace

Our Wren pendant features a stunning hand-cut Amethyst gemstone set into a beautiful scolloped design set in 9ct yellow gold. The pendant hangs from a  9ct gold 18\" chain. 

Because of its wine-like colour, early Greek legends associated amethyst with Bacchus, the god of wine. Other legends reflected the belief that amethyst kept its wearer clear-headed and quick-witted in battle and in business affairs. Because amethyst was associated with wine, it was believed that wearing amethyst prevented drunkenness. (Source- GIA)

The pendant was designed by Mayveda and made by our expert Master Goldsmith with 40 plus years experience of working in the London jewellery district Hatton Garden.

Drawing inspiration from fine antique and vintage jewellery, Tiffany of Mayveda Jewellery has set out to take her passion for beautiful objects that one step further, by designing her first piece inspired by the English countryside of her childhood. The Wren pendant was designed in London by Tiffany and was meticulously crafted by a small team of artisans in the heart of the jewellery district in Hatton Garden. The name ‘The Wren’ comes from the beautiful song of the tiny bird singing in our English country garden.
