TAHA WAIRUA - Spiritual well-being
Check out the colours in the stone! The toki is the perfect design for this stone - it is bold and earthy and has a solid practical feel to it.
The colouring in this piece is remarkable - lots of green tones and a splash of red. It varies considerably from front to back, so TAHA WAIRUA can be worn either side. Ric has made a sleek, solid and bold piece of art to wear!
We have suspended this from a 4-plait brown cord which can be adjusted with a couple of slip knots. TAHA WAIRUA is a beautiful piece of traditional jewellery, that will last for ever!
The toki, or adze, is a symbol of strength. The adze was a key survival tool, so the owner of a good one was believed to be strong and powerful. They were used to carve ocean-going waka (sea canoes) and to build central meeting houses so they played a central role in traditional life of māori.
The toki is traditionally worn for strength and courage - to assist through life\'s challenges.
TAHA WAIRUA is lovingly packaged in a woven kete pouch.
We also include one of our \'Kia Ora\' cards, which explains the meaning behind the Toki design.
Delivery with Express Courier is included in the price.
