This furoshiki was designed by local Japanese American artist Erika Harada and would make the perfect Portland souvenir for both locals and visitors. Harada works with katazome, a traditional Japanese textile printing technique. Her designs are frequently inspired by the changing seasons and our local Pacific Northwest landscape. Her talents for beautifully capturing our surroundings, as well as her skill at blending cultures, are on full display in this design.
Featuring classic Portland landmarks and icons, this furoshiki can be used to wrap gifts or carry items, or hung on your wall as home decor. Bright colors will bring the beauty of a Portland spring into any darker days.
