This unique pendant, crafted by Koji Miyazaki in Ōtautahi / Christchurch, is a bespoke and clever art piece that showcases his expertise in metal manipulation .
The central focus is a set of three layered metal leaves. The leaves are crafted from contrasting metals of sterling silver, brass and 24CT plated gold —giving the piece a rich, multi-toned texture and natural variation.
The leaves are lightly etched to resemble natural veining and hang from a simple black cord, emphasising the naturalistic form.
This piece is a defining example of Miyazaki’s distinctive artistic vision, transforming the delicate form of a leaf into a wearable, permanent sculpture.
