Regarding Etruscan Revival:

The ancient Etruscan civilization was discovered in the early 1800s. As archaeologists unearthed the crafts and wares of this ancient society in western Italy, their discoveries captured the minds and imagination of people of the time. While news traveled at a slower pace, the Etruscan arts and crafts were popularized by Victorian era artisans, including jewelers who employed the Etruscan jewelry techniques of granulation and filagree work that had previously been scarce or not seen before.
