The Burdur style is associated with creamy, earthy dyes and skillful diamond patterns as medallions. This carpet is unique among Burdur carpets because it eschews all design traditions in favor of an allover pattern unrestrained even by a border. The repeated design resembles a plant with two sets of leaves, one at the base of a thin stem and one at the tip where a fruit blooms. Atop the fruit, a geometric design that resembles a bird spreads its wings.
