Vintage knotted pile rug designed by Marianne Richter in 1944. Handwoven by Karin Dock at Märta Måås-Fjetterström AB, Båstad, Sweden. Marked AB MMF and MR (artist’s initials).
The rug comes with a certificate of authenticity. This rug is currently on display in our Stockholm showroom.
MATERIALS AND CAREThe rug is hand-knotted in wool on a linen warp. Wool is naturally stain-resistant and should not be washed too frequently, as this can strip the natural oils that protect the fibers.
To ensure even wear, rotate the rug periodically. Regular vacuuming is beneficial, but avoid vacuuming the braided edges and refrain from using a vacuum with rotating brushes.
MADE-TO-ORDERThis is a vintage rug ready for immediate delivery; however, it can also be woven as made-to-order by the skilled artisans at the studio in Båstad, Sweden. Please contact us for further information and assistance.
