Colorscience Barrier Pro 1-Step Cleanser is the perfect summertime — really anytime, but especially summertime — lightly foaming cleanser.

If you’re wearing water-resistant mineral sunscreen (hope so) or makeup, you’ll probably find that it’s hard to wash off unless you’re double-cleansing…but sometimes, that just feels like a bridge too far. Our favorite thing ever for one-step sunscreen and makeup removal is Dara’s Water — more on that here — but if you miss the traditional creamy, foamy cleanser experience, this will be your new go-to.

Barrier Pro is a fragrance-free, non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic cleanser designed to thoroughly remove makeup and mineral sunscreen in a single step. Suitable for all skin types, including acne-prone and sensitive, the lightweight gel formula lightly lathers and somehow thoroughly removes the most tenacious mineral sunscreen while respecting skin’s pH balance, so it doesn’t leave you feeling stripped or overly dry.

If you do like double-cleansing from time to time, or your skin tends to be on the dry side, Barrier Pro can easily move to be your second cleanser after your favorite cleansing oil or cleansing balm.
