This gorgeous kilim from Black Sea region of Turkey.

This one is one useful area rug. It is comprised in hemp and goat hair in colors of creamy off white and black resulting in a gray overall hue. It is decidedly darker on one half due to goat hair content.
There are hand sewn patches in white and blue done by the weaver and in which we left intact. It’s whimsical!

Actual size is 6’4” x 8’5”

It has been professionally washed restored blocked and stretched.
