This is a nostalgic and stylish hairpin that has been finished in an antique style, resembling a lantern that illuminates the dark night.
The lantern itself, which lights up the lantern, has a rounded, cute shape. It\'s modeled after a handheld candle holder, and would look great hanging from trees to add a touch of light to a miniature garden party. It\'s meticulously crafted for a realistic look. Designed to resemble a hanging lantern, it sways gently with every step. The retro and warm finish is an antique design, carefully crafted by artisans one by one. The durable brass shaft makes it easy to use even for those with long hair, and it can be worn alone. This kanzashi is perfect for summer yukata, regardless of the season, whether you\'re wearing Japanese or Western clothing.
Designer\'s thoughts A lantern is a type of lamp, either handheld or hanging, and in Japanese it is called chochin (paper lantern). Lanterns and paper lanterns are deeply connected to events to welcome spirits, known as Obon in Japan and Halloween in the West. During Obon in Japan, handheld lanterns are used to guide the spirits of ancestors home. At Halloween, jack-o\'-lanterns, pumpkins (or turnips) with lights inside, are also used to worship ancestral spirits. Combining the image of handheld lanterns with that of lanterns, we have created a hairpin with a nostalgic, steampunk feel. We hope that this hairpin will also function as a signpost, gently illuminating the destination.
