SEMOLINA RIGATONI

Rigatoni is hearty and robust with a distinct al dente bite. A perennial favorite that excels in cooler months. When we craft our version of rigatoni we cut it to a shorter length, similar to a “mezze rigatoni” resulting in a thick, tubular pasta with ridges.

Our favorite sauce with Rigatoni is Italian sausage, Swiss Chard and Parmesan. Tomato, cream and crushed pepper flake is another great pairing for a dish that is both rich and tasty.

ORIGIN OF RIGATONI

Rigatoni comes from a family of tubular style called “pasta corta”, meaning cut pasta and are originally from southern Italy. This family of shapes is related to penne, elicoidali and other styles of pasta that are ridged and hollow. 

Rigatoni in an incredibly versatile shape with a robust texture that will enhance any recipe.
