A scent shaped by the quiet elegance of Aoyama’s old wooden houses.Astier de Villatte’s Aoyama Incense captures the neighborhood’s signature harmony of aged timber, soft linens, and whispering smoke. Created with Sonya Park and master perfumer Françoise Caron, the fragrance opens with the earthy depth of patchouli, refined by warm guaiacwood and vetiver. Clove lends a gentle spice, while a moss-laced freshness softens the edges. A luminous hinoki wood accord adds a distinctly Japanese purity — serene, meditative, and impeccably understated.

Handmade on the Japanese island of Awaji — birthplace of the world’s finest incense — each stick is crafted by master Koh-shis following centuries-old techniques. Natural woods, resins, and aromatic plants are blended, kneaded, shaped, and dried in the island’s west wind to create incense of exceptional clarity and depth.

A box contains 125 sticks, each offering 30 minutes of fragrant, atmospheric burn.
