HOT ! 2022 Pre-Qingming Arboreal Dragon Tiger Sheng (Raw) Puer

The leaves of this tea were harvested from naturally-growing tea trees on Mt. Yiwu.  These trees, approximately 50-80 years in age, are grown in pristine conditions, without the use of pesticides, chemicals, or fertilizers.  Qingming is the Chinese name for the Tomb-Sweeping Festival, a holiday that happens in the spring, around the time that many teas are being harvested.  Thus, many teas are divided into pre-Qingming and post-Qingming harvest.  The leaves that make up this tea came from the pre-Qingming harvest, meaning that it is made from the highest quality first harvest of the year.  Given its age, and the fact that it has not been cooked, this tea could equivalently be considered to be a green tea or a puer.  As it ages, its flavor will smooth out and gradually transform, placing it solidly into the latter character.  This tea is of the finest quality, and is ideal for further aging.  While the phenomenal quality of this tea is already readily apparent, time will reveal its true potential, making it a great investment for the future.  Merely looking at the leaves of this tea, its quality is apparent, both by their beautiful, intact form, and by the predominance of inner bud leaves, still covered in the white fuzz of youth, which gives this tea a luminous sheen.  Dry, they carry an intoxicating, honey aroma, with hinds of candycap mushrooms and honeydew melon.
